VEXT is committed to providing accurate, transparent and informative content for our readers. Our editorial policy outlines our ethics and core values to ensure you’re receiving the best information about underground youth culture, internet trends and emerging creatives.

Accuracy

VEXT prides itself on providing our audiences with informative content that’s representative of their communities, both online and IRL.

We mainly focus on longer think pieces that aim to start a conversation, and we want you to have all the right tools to engage in the discussion. One of our core tenets is making sure that you have all the correct and pertinent information needed to understand a specific issue and its accompanying perspective. So rest assured that everything is fact-checked to the best of our abilities. Our contributors are also held to this same standard, even if they’re writing an opinion piece.

One note: We will occasionally work with artists whose practice involves satirical commentary on the state of social media perception, online identity and disinformation. In these cases, we will always strive to make editorial decisions that limit any downstream risks without compromising the artistic merit of works.

Transparency and accountability

VEXT is committed to a high standard of accountability and transparency, whether it comes to an article or a brand partnership. We are always receptive to feedback from our community and open to discussing any questions or concerns.

We also believe in holding media accountable for errors, ourselves especially. If we ever mess up, we will immediately issue a correction, whether it’s in an article or on social media.

Diverse and comprehensive coverage

VEXT aims to provide a wide range of content covering various topics, whether we’re reporting on an emerging underground movement or platforming a contributing writer with a specific viewpoint.
