Vext Magazine ("Vext," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website https://www.vextmagazine.com (the "Site"). We are incorporated in the State of New York, and our principal place of business is 135 Henry St, Apt 1, New York, NY 10002, USA.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information and describes your choices and rights under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and CalOPPA.

  • Contact details: Your email address and any social-media handle or profile link you voluntarily give us (e.g., when subscribing, commenting, or contacting us).
  • Correspondence: The content of emails, messages, or physical mail you send to hello@vextmagazine.com or our postal address.

  • Identifiers & device data: IP address, cookie IDs, browser type, device type, operating system (via cookies/SDKs such as Google Analytics, Google Ads).
  • Internet/network activity: Page views, time on page, referring URL, clicks, scrolls, ad impressions, comment history (via Disqus).
  • Approximate geolocation: City/region inferred from IP address.

We use first- and third-party cookies (see Section 4) to collect this information.

We do not use your personal information for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

  • Google Ads/AdSense: Cookie IDs, device data, ad interactions.
  • Disqus: User-supplied identifiers, comment content, IP.
  • Mailchimp: Email address, engagement metrics.
  • Authorities & legal process: Compliance with laws, court orders, or defending our rights.

We never sell personal information for monetary compensation, but sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "share" under CPRA. See Section 6 for opt-out options.

  1. Cookies & Similar Technologies We use cookies, pixel tags, and local storage to:
  • Keep you logged into Disqus.
  • Remember your preferences.
  • Measure Site traffic (Google Analytics).
  • Serve targeted ads (Google Ads).

6.1 European Economic Area (EEA) & United Kingdom You may access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and object to processing. Withdraw consent at any time by contacting hello@vextmagazine.com. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA) We collected categories: A (identifiers), D (commercial info – newsletter subscription), F (internet activity), G (geolocation). We shared categories A & F with advertising partners.

You have rights to know, delete, correct, opt-out of sale/share, limit use of sensitive info (we do not process SPI), and freedom from discrimination. To exercise:

  • Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" footer link.
  • Send mail to our postal address (Attn: Privacy Team).

We verify via email or signed declaration. You may designate an authorized agent.

Note: We do not knowingly sell/share data from minors under 16.

6.3 CalOPPA & Do Not Track We do not currently respond to DNT browser signals due to lack of standardized practice but do honor GPC signals for CPRA opt-outs.

6.4 Other U.S. State Privacy Laws We comply explicitly with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and CalOPPA. Residents of other states may contact hello@vextmagazine.com regarding applicable rights.

  1. Children's Privacy Our content is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us immediately to delete it.
  2. Data Security & Retention We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (encryption, limited access, secure backups). We retain data only as long as necessary or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Data Breach Notification: In the event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify affected users promptly as required by applicable laws.
